Prayer before an exam

... my students at a private, secular university are in for it this morning; so I've put this together, with a little help from St. Augustine, to say before they begin their test this morning...

Look upon us, O Lord, and let all the darkness of our souls vanish before the beams of your brightness.
Fill us with holy love, and open to us the treasures of your wisdom.
All our desire is known unto you, therefore perfect what you have begun,
and what thy Spirit has awakened us to ask in prayer.
We seek your face, so turn to us and show us your glory.
Then shall our longing be satisfied, and our peace shall be perfect.

And now grant us enlightenment and courage for this exam.
Quiet our distress and lead us into clear thoughts and precise responses; let our minds be rested, our bodies energized, and our spirits inspired; grant us peace.

Knowing that we are always accompanied by your grace,
Amen.
