John: Do we really want to see Jesus?

John 12: 20-30

"Sir," they said, "we would like to see Jesus." Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

Jesus replied, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be... and my Father will honor the one who serves me.

Fr. WB was a guest preacher on this one yesterday:

...So give yourself to Jesus. Unite yourself to Him. Tell him in prayer that you are his possession. Acknowledge his Kingship by acknowledging the power of his cross in your own life to overcome and drive out the consequence of your sin. The conquering of death in you is in your being one with Jesus in his cross, so that you may be one with him in the glory of God. Ask him in prayer that you may be bound to him in his cross… that you may be bound to him in his glory and the glory of his Father.

Amen
