A sheepish qualification
... it is some consolation that no matter the hubris involved, discussion DOES tend to help the truth emerge: a friend has pointed out that we who were banned in China ought not to pat ourselves on the back too quickly for our obnoxious Christianity, since apparently ALL blogs hosted by Blogger are banned by the Chinese thought- police. I am going to take this as fact and hereby apologize.
I do seem to remember, though, that some small blogs hosted by Blogger were available.
